Enabled Web Resources and Protocols

The Cisco ASA Clientless SSL VPN portal is a web-based interface that allows users to remotely access internal network resources through a secure SSL VPN connection without requiring the installation of a VPN client software on the user's device. By default, the Cisco ASA Clientless SSL VPN portal supports the following two types of web resources or protocols:

A. HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol): This is the primary protocol used for accessing web pages on the internet. HTTP is enabled by default on the Cisco ASA Clientless SSL VPN portal, allowing users to access web-based applications and resources that use HTTP.

B. ICA (Citrix): The Citrix Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) protocol is used to deliver virtual desktops and applications to remote users. ICA is also enabled by default on the Cisco ASA Clientless SSL VPN portal, allowing users to access Citrix-based resources such as virtual desktops and applications.

The following types of web resources or protocols are not enabled by default on the Cisco ASA Clientless SSL VPN portal:

C. VNC (Virtual Network Computing): This is a protocol used to remotely access and control desktop computers. VNC is not enabled by default on the Cisco ASA Clientless SSL VPN portal.

D. RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol): This is a protocol used to remotely access and control Windows desktop computers. RDP is not enabled by default on the Cisco ASA Clientless SSL VPN portal.

E. CIFS (Common Internet File System): This is a protocol used to access files and printers over a network. CIFS is not enabled by default on the Cisco ASA Clientless SSL VPN portal.

In summary, the Cisco ASA Clientless SSL VPN portal supports HTTP and ICA protocols by default, allowing users to access web-based applications and Citrix-based resources. The VNC, RDP, and CIFS protocols are not enabled by default on the portal.
