Salesforce Activity Archiving: Viewing Archived Records

If Salesforce archives older activities based on certain criteria, such as events with due dates greater than 365 days, a user can view these records in the Activities home page view.

To access the Activities home page view, follow these steps:

1. Log in to Salesforce and navigate to the home page.
2. Click on the "App Launcher" icon (nine dots in a square) in the top-left corner of the screen.
3. In the search bar, type "Activities" and select "Activities" from the dropdown menu.
4. The Activities home page view will display a list of all activities, including archived records.

Alternatively, a user can also access archived activities through the "Activity History" related list on the associated record. This related list displays a chronological list of all activities related to a specific record, including archived records.

To access the Activity History related list, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the record associated with the archived activity.
2. Scroll down to the "Activity History" related list, which should be located near the bottom of the page.
3. Archived activities will appear in the list with a "View Archived" link next to them.
4. Click on the "View Archived" link to view the details of the archived activity.

The Recycle Bin is not the correct location to view archived activities, as it only displays deleted records that can be restored. The Storage Usage link under Setup is also not the correct location, as it displays information about the amount of data storage used by an organization.
