Restricting User's Report Access while Allowing Dashboard Viewing

Remove the "Run Reports" and "Create and Customize Reports" profile permissions.

This will still allow the user to view dashboards.

To take away a user's ability to run reports while allowing them to view dashboards, you can follow these steps:

1. Create a custom profile or edit an existing profile that the user is assigned to.

2. In the profile, scroll down to the "System Permissions" section and uncheck the "Run Reports" checkbox. This will remove the user's ability to run reports.

3. Next, scroll down to the "Object Permissions" section and click on the "Edit" button next to the "Dashboard" object.

4. In the "Dashboard Permissions" dialog box, select the "Read" checkbox. This will allow the user to view dashboards.

5. Save the changes to the profile.

Once you've made these changes, the user will no longer be able to run reports but will still be able to view dashboards. Note that this will apply to all users assigned to this profile, so be sure to review the other permissions in the profile to ensure they are appropriate for the user's needs.
